BoomBox is an American rock band, which is most known for its quick rise into the Jam band music scene and through founding member Zion Godchaux's association with the Grateful Dead. Both parents, Keith and Donna Jean Godchaux, performed with the band from 1971 to 1979 Formed in 2004 by singer/songwriter Zion Godchaux on the guitar/lead vocals and producer/DJ Russ Randolph on sequencers, groove boxes and turn-tables. The duo met while recording the Heart of Gold Band album
